 Content Production and Broadcast Engineering at Yahoo! was a combination of live event captures, encoding, editing, and publishing every piece of media consumed on the Yahoo! network around the world. 

 From a broadcast control center in Texas, we would tune our satellite dishes, Comrex, and Vyvx fiber optic lines to receive and rebroadcast a huge variety of sports and entertainment programming from the biggest names in the business like NFL, Nascar, NCAA sports, NHL, MTV Networks, Univision, MTV Espanol,  Focus Films, Universal Studios, TNT, CW, ABC News, Fox News, Fox TV, CBS TV,  Disney, Nasa, BBC News, 7 News Australia...

 Through a vast array of remote FTP storage and remote client drop-boxes, a huge volume of TV clips, ads, electronic press kits (e.p.k.)and movie trailers were processed on a daily basis, in multiple bit-rates, multiple player formats, and different languages.

 Yahoo Broadcast and streaming services provides live internet events streaming for mass media clients and internal, corporate functions inside Yahoo's many departments.

 Duties consisted of allocating and operating the resources, equipment, and archive space needed to stream live audio and video content over Yahoo’s media distribution network and Yahoo web properties.

 Traditional broadcast reception methods IE: satellite, Vyvx fiber, ISDN, telephone coupler, and IP broadcasts are combined with Windows Media encoder and Windows Media based distribution server infrastructure to produce the final on-air/on-web product. 

Content Production Team,

 Content production at Yahoo! involves managing, digitizing, editing, and publishing all types of media for use on client and Yahoo! web properties. IE: movie trailers, news, sports, and TV clips among many others.

 In-house production studio utilizes professional broadcast equipment, digital routers, Mac Pro edit and encoding arrays in combination with non-linear digital editing systems, by Final Cut Pro and Quick Time Pro.

 Also in operation was a large volume encoding farm setup for simultaneous trans-coding using Rhozet Carbon Coder. 

May 2004-October 2006: Salem Radio Network/ Irving, TX 

Master Control/Radio Network Operations: reporting to Jim Barto and Brian Heise.
 

 Salem Radio Network is a commercial radio programming satellite provider for hundreds of news, talk, religion, and music radio stations around the country.

 As a Network Operations Technician duties consisted of the delivery of syndicated radio programming via T1 and ISDN data lines in accordance with traffic and schedule logs.

 Along with a team of engineers, producers, and traffic: I helped operate network master control for The Michael Medved Show, Dennis Prager, Bil Bennet's Morning in America, Janet Parshall, and America's Family Coaches. 

 Daily operations utilized a combination of automation and live board operations. Other aspects of operations were the broadcast and recording of breaking news events, special programs, and the archiving and editing of syndicated radio programs using BSI automation systems, Digi-Carts, DAT, and Cool Edit Pro/Adobe Audition.  Also provided remote engineering duties part-time for The Mike Gallagher Show and KWRD 100.7 FM.

  Live radio broadcast logistics, equipment, and operations for KTCK, KLIF, KPLX, and KKMR/KDBN radio. Technical and logistical engineering for on-location and special events live broadcasting. 

 Special event duites included; Ticketstock '00-04, Summer Bash '00-'02, Merge Cyber Music Festival, Bone Bash, Bone Rock Show, Charity Challenge on Ice '00-'03 and over one hundred successful remote broadcast productions on LIVE radio.
